Well the title sounds like a movie name
but its nothing but an alias to my house terrace or small patio window kind of a place. It’s a simple 10 * 10 sized open space holds lot of memories to me.
Long long ago, so long ago, once upon a time when my granny was a lady (oops) used to grow lots of roses in this place. My appa, athai, chithappa, got inspired and tagged to “Rosapoo vasal”
For every day to day activity Rosapoo vasal becomes one major call-factor in our life.
Dei antha Rosapoo vasalikku poi poo parichudu va
Amma naan Rosapoo vasala erukain
Dai vaithal( fryamms) poda num Rosapoo vasaliku poo
Dai mazhai varuthu rosapoo vasaliku poi thuni ellam eduthudu va..
Among all the things…
Rosapoo vasal is the bootstrap place for my gardening experience…
Pongal: – I love this chithari (Jan) month festival compare to any other festival for all the known and unknown reasons. But in our house Pongal program starts @ Aug – Sep time frame itself.
Yes. Our granny / mom identify two flower pots, pick them up, re-fill the entire soil and plant two high potential turmeric off-shoots. It’s mine and my sister’s responsibility to make sure Turmeric plant is come up correctly. With full of positive energy, feelings, wish, and expectation we used to watch the plain soil daily and pour water… After a while
Me or my Sister. “amma inga vanthu paren.. manjal chedi vanthu eruku“…
Amma or Granny: simple smile
Me or my sister: amma inga vaayen ..
Amma: Enga da eruka.. yen eppadi kathura.. ennainnu sollu
Me: Naa inga rosapoo vasal illa thaa erukain ..inga vanthu paren..
Manjal chedei leaves vittu eruku..
Amma::)
Like turmeric plant every day we used to dream about pongal thirunaal( holy pongal eve )
Wow @last Pongal thirunaal dawned with full glory.. my granny alerts us “ Dei antha manjal enna atchu innu paru ???
Before I start, my appa will pick up all the gardening artilleries and form a trio platoon to harvest turmeric plant. We used to watch the entire process with full inspiration and successfully return with the fresh, aromatic house grown turmeric plant to adorn Pongal pot and pooja.
This simple, cost effective, lively 6 months exercise made me to think about gardening. I would say it’s my first Windows experience before Bill-Gates (official release of windows 1.0 released in Nov – 1990).
